Loki of Asgard Daylily (Paul K. Lewis, Fall 2022) ( The Downward Spiral (Lewis) X Tet. Midnight Mirror (Trimmer/ Lambertson)) Tet., Sev., M, 6″ bloom, 34″ scape, 4 way branching, 29 buds.
Hybridizer Notes: Purple patterned flowers are really at their beginnings. My biggest goal besides having a more precise pattern is to have the base color an attractive purple color. Most of the Tet. Midnight Mirror offspring have this mungy sort of purple color. Loki of Asgard has been the best one of all that I’ve bred. Loki is also complemented by impeccable plant habit. Purple blooms with a darker violet patterned eye zone blending into a yellow green throat. Easily fertile both ways. Sets pods by just looking at it. I have yet to see the offspring, but excited none the less. Pattern is consistent and on every bloom.
