Frank Sinatra Daylily (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2023)
(Forty Two (Townsend) X Secretariat (Lewis)) Tet., Sev, M, 6″ bloom, 32″ scape, 4 way branching, 20 buds.
Notes from the hyridizer “From a row of 6 siblings, (3 of which are introductions) this was clearly the best seedling from this cross. It’s all about color with this introduction. I don’t believe I have seen an eye zone this shade of blue in any other introduction. Perhaps some diploid introductions have come close, but few and far between with tetraploids. Add in the wonderful plant habit and consistency with the color. This is a lavender bloom with powder blue eye zone, complemented by a corresponding blue and gold wire edge. On rare days it will show a more silvery blue eye zone, which looks really cool. Easily fertile both ways.” picture used with permission from the hybridizer.
