Hybridizers Description and Notes: BLURPLE MASTERPIECE Daylily (Stamile, P.) TET 098-A (Yoga Man X Test Pattern) 40” EM Ev Re CMO Fr. 6” 4-way branching. 30 buds. We may never see primary blue in daylilies but why lament it? We have such gorgeous blends of blue and purple, blue and violet and blue and lavender. These colors are striking in both clarity and impact in the garden and BLURPLE MASTERPIECE is one of the best. BLURPLE MASTERPIECE is a rose with a huge patterned eye of wine red, blue lavender, blue purple and charcoal gray above a citron green throat. The petals are edged in wine red and blue lavender and the sepals have lilac gray and mimosa yellow patches edged in wine red. I just love it! BLURPLE MASTERPIECE is an incredible breeder giving huge blue and blue purple faces. It passes on both very tall scapes and good branching and plant habit. Blooms tend to be outfacing. Fertile both ways.
